Join us each week for a low-impact adult exercise class with C.A.R.E. Fitness. This class is open to anyone in the public. The cost is $10 per week. Most exercise equipment will be provided. Call the church office if you have any questions.
Youth & Kids of all ages meet for a mixture of spiritual growth, service to our church and community, as well as fun and food. Come to have fun with new friends but leave with a greater sense of their place as a child of God. Most importantly, they will understand they are a part of something bigger. They belong to the family of Jesus Christ.
What gets us more into the spirit of Christmas than music! Join us for a morning full of special music by Onward, Chancel Choir, and church members. After worship, stick around and head over to the Activities Building to sample different soups made by the congregation!
This four-week Advent study focuses on the experiences of four sets of often overlooked characters in the Nativity story. During this Advent season, Rachel Billups guides readers through the themes of hope, love, joy, and peace by sharing the stories of Elizabeth and Zechariah, Herod, the Magi, and the shepherds. Each set of unexpected characters has something to teach about living faithfully on the journey to Christmas.
TBD Sunday School Class invites you to join them this Advent season for "An Unlikely Event" by Rachel Billups. Book is not required to be purchased, but can be purchased on Amazon if you wish.
H2O meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 9am-11am at the Emmanuel Baptist Church parking lot. H2O is a monthly homeless street outreach sponsored by Volunteers of America in Central Louisiana.
Each month, a team of our church members and other community partners volunteer and assist the Homeless Coalition of Central Louisiana to provide aid and support to the homeless in our community. Our team offers clothing, toiletries, and food, along with other essential items collected by our church at large. We believe that when we love our neighbors as ourselves, we are doing what Jesus asks us to do.
Join us on Christmas Eve as we welcome the newborn King! Holy Communion will be served. The United Methodist Church invites all to the table who wish to partake in Holy Communion.
Hot, balanced, nutritious meals are served every day to anyone who walks in the doors of Manna House – no questions asked. Feeding several hundred people daily, 365 days a year requires an army of dedicated volunteers! Manna House relies on volunteers and donations to keep the ministry going. It gets no financial assistance from the federal, state, or local government, or from any particular organization.
Each year the TBD Sunday School Class hosts their Chili Fundraiser to benefit Manna House. Join them after church in the Family Life Center for a bowl of delicious chili. If you'd rather not stay to eat, you're welcome to get your chili to go. Just hop over, make a donation of any amount you wish, and they'll pack up some chili to send you home with!
